European business leaders continue to pursue growth opportunities abroad, according to new research from European Business Awards and RSM International, one of the world’s largest audit, tax and consulting networks. Over two-thirds of European businesses plan to enter new markets in the next year despite the difficult post-recession climate.
2011 European Business Awards and HSBC survey reveals that:
· More than a quarter of businesses (29%) across Europe planning on expansion by entering a new market
· More than half (52%) of businesses have either fully recovered or saw no negative impact from the recession
· HSBC’s Trade Connections forecast highlights European trade growth of 77% by 2025; international trade the key opportunity for region
Over 100 companies have been awarded a ‘Ruban d’Honneur’ prize in the penultimate stage of the European Business Awards, sponsored by HSBC.

The results are now in for the second round of the European Business Awards sponsored by HSBC. Over 220 exceptional companies have been selected to represent their nation across Europe and compete in the next stage to ultimately win a European Business Award.
