Leadership 4.0: Future practice for future organisations
If humans are to compete against ‘redundancy by data’ they must ditch notions of control, hierarchy and individualist heroism, and develop narrative, dialogic approaches to work and decision making. A new practice is required for the new workplace revolution and Relational Competence© is something computers don’t and won’t have for some time. This digital era has generated new forms of organisation working through alliances of cooperation and innovation, in order to develop, provide and maintain products and services to clients. Collaborative Leadership and Relational Competence© are the human advantage for the digital era.

- Examine – and practice – the mechanics of collaboration
- Learn how to structure collaborative dialogue to generate leadership
- Unlearn some leadership myths that cannot help you in the world of collaborative work
- The effects of collective agency and agenda on team performance
Session Led By: Dr Robert Coles
Robert is the Co-Founder and Chair of The Centre for Alternative Leadership & Management, an academic research collaboration, think tank and consultancy.
Previously, Robert has built three Executive Education practices and, in addition, was the European Director for one of the world’s ‘next 4’ global audit and accounting organisations, responsible for a European organization of 10,000 people and $1.6 billion in revenues.
He is a graduate of Oxford and Leicester Universities in the UK, and holds Post-Graduate degrees in Collaborative & Confucian Leadership, Cross-Cultural HRD, and Organisational Leadership.
