Gianluca Lorenzon, Investment Director
Gianluca is based in the London office and joined ASI in 2016. Working for the private corporate debt fund, Gianluca’s focus is on sourcing, execution and monitoring of investment opportunities. Gianluca has 8 years of experience in mid-market leveraged finance at the Bank of Ireland and almost 10 years of mid-market M&A experience at KMPG Corporate Finance. Gianluca holds a BSc (Econ) from the London School of Economics and Political Science and an MSc in Economics from the University of Bristol
John Seal, Head of Direct Lending
John joined Aberdeen Standard Investments in 2015 to assist the team in the development of private debt investment business. Prior to joining ASI, John was a founding partner of New Amsterdam Capital, an early entrant to the institutional management of leveraged loans and middle-market lending in Europe, as well as a manager of second lien and mezzanine debt, high yield bonds and distressed credit. Prior to the formation of New Amsterdam in 2002, John worked in high yield bond structuring and capital markets at Barclays Capital, ING Barings, Alex Brown & Sons and Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette. He holds a BS from the State University of New York – Albany and an MBA from City University of New York.
