Complying with GDPR – a practical plan

There are many tasks to be completed to enable you to maximise compliance with the new data regulations within your business. So, what are your priorities? Do you know where the personal data resides in your business? Do you have the right to hold and use the data? Do you need it to do what you do?

The new regime represents a step change in how data is to be processed in the future within the EU. You need a plan to become and remain compliant which is both achievable and tailored to address the key risks you face whilst not requiring you to place your other business goals on hold.

In this session we will discuss:

  • The policy environment you are required to put in place;
  • The procedures you will need to create to manage Subject Access Requests and potential data breaches;
  • Making Privacy Impact Assessments (PIAs) work for your business;
  • The legal bases you can rely upon to hold data; and
  • A risk-based approach to developing and executing your GDPR compliance plan.

This session is led by Terry McAdam & Rien Hommes:
