The European Business Awards and lead sponsor RSM International, the leading global audit, tax and advisory network, have today announced the opening of the 8th European Business Awards; a widely recognised prestigious competition showcasing the best businesses operating across Europe.
100 businesses have been announced as the finalists and Ruban d’Honneur recipients in the 2013/14 European Business Awards sponsored by RSM International. Additionally, in a separate public vote, 30 companies have been named as their country’s National Public Champion.

The net rate of business creation among the EU economies has been over three times faster than in the USA and Canada since the financial crisis, according to research by RSM International, the seventh largest global network of independent audit, tax and consulting firms.
BP’s not-for-profit carbon management programme, Target Neutral, has today been confirmed as the sponsor for the European Business Awards’ growth category award. Moving forward the category will be known as “The ‘BP Target Neutral’ Growth Strategy of the Year Award”.

The ceremony marks the culmination of a yearlong decision-making process which began with over 15,000 businesses and ended with just 100 Ruban d’Honneur finalists attending the event in the hope of becoming one of the ten category winners.
