LONDON - The European Business Awards, Europe’s toughest business competition, is now open for entries from businesses across the EU.
In 2011, the EBAs engaged with over 15,000 organisations in over 30 countries showcasing the best in class from a diverse range of industries including cosmetics, engineering, fashion, online businesses, manufacturing and transport.

BARCELONA -Europe’s business elite gathered today to hear the 11 award winners in this year’s European Business Awards revealed.
Regarded as Europe’s toughest business competition, the victors were selected from the shortlisted 111 Ruban d’Honneur recipients participating from across the continent, in a programme which engaged with over 15,000 organisations in over 30 countries.
European business leaders continue to pursue growth opportunities abroad, according to new research from European Business Awards and RSM International, one of the world’s largest audit, tax and consulting networks. Over two-thirds of European businesses plan to enter new markets in the next year despite the difficult post-recession climate.
2011 European Business Awards and HSBC survey reveals that:
· More than a quarter of businesses (29%) across Europe planning on expansion by entering a new market
· More than half (52%) of businesses have either fully recovered or saw no negative impact from the recession
· HSBC’s Trade Connections forecast highlights European trade growth of 77% by 2025; international trade the key opportunity for region
Over 100 companies have been awarded a ‘Ruban d’Honneur’ prize in the penultimate stage of the European Business Awards, sponsored by HSBC.
