Founder & Chairman, Softonic

Tomás Diago founded Softonic in 1997 as part of his final year project for university. He has grown the company from a humble software download website to become one the world´s largest Internet companies in global audience with more than 100 million users/month. He has been leading the global business of more than 400 employees in offices located across Europe, Asia and America since 1997. Since January 2015 he has step out from day to day and is overseeing the business as Chairman of the Board.

Tomás has been awarded the “National Young Entrepreneur Award” by the Confederación Española de Asociaciones de Jóvenes Empresarios (CEAJE), the “Businessman of the Future Award” by the Catalan Association Foment de Treball Nacional, the “Emerging Entrepreneur Award” by the consulting firm Ernst & Young, and the “Entrepreneur of the Year Award” by the magazine Emprendedores.

Tomas graduated from the Universitat La Salle (Universitat Ramon Llull) with a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science.
