LISA JACKSON

CEO, Revolution in Kindness (formerly known as The Body Shop Foundation)

Lisa is the CEO of Revolution in Kindness (formerly known as The Body Shop Foundation), a grant making organisation determined to bring about positive social and environmental change.

Operational since 1989, Revolution in Kindness was founded by Dame Anita and Gordon Roddick with the sole purpose of being a Foundation determined to make a difference.

In Anita’s own words: ‘Kindness doesn’t have to be insipid or random to be effective. Far from it: deliberate kindness can be fierce, tenacious, unexpected, unconditional and sometimes positively revolutionary”.  The Foundation is an extension of this; recognising the brave hearts and fearless warriors who work to ensure that the world is a more compassionate, kinder place.

Lisa was approached by the Roddicks in early 2000’s to be the drive, passion and strategy behind the Foundation.  From this date, Lisa determinedly run a small but impactful team, focused on delivering exceptional funding and fundraising activities.

In her time at the helm, Lisa and her team have donated over £23 million to some 2,900 organisations in 100 countries around the world, generating a positive global impact to over 6 million people.  A formidable leader, Lisa is a great believer in leading from the front but empowering her team to bring skills, ideas and different work styles into a forceful synergy for good.

Lisa continues to be inspired by, charged by and committed to her work in the NGO and charitable world (but, truthfully, can get as excited by butter, Lemon Drop cocktails and stealing her work colleague’s stationery).
