ERIC MACHIELS

Chief Executive Officer, Infinis Energy ltd

Eric Machiels became Infinis Energy’s Chief Executive in October 2010. Infinis, owned by Terra Firma Capital Partners, is one of the largest renewable power generators in the UK with over 700MW of onshore wind and landfill gas generation capacity. Eric was originally seconded into the business from Terra Firma, having previously joined Terra Firma as a Business Director in September 2007.

Prior to joining Terra Firma, Mr Machiels held executive positions within two portfolio companies of Clayton, Dubilier & Rice, a US private equity firm and most recently as Managing Director of Sirva Inc.’s European division from 2004 to 2007. He worked as an Investment Director at UBS Capital from 1999 to 2002.

Mr Machiels obtained an MBA from the Harvard Business School in 1996. He previously graduated from the University of Leuven Law Faculty (Belgium) in 1989
