Babawande is an experienced academic and management professional who has been involved in both the education and consulting sectors. He has several years of experience in the education sector with proven track record of managing people and overseeing multiple projects whilst delivering process improvement, continuous improvement, and relentless innovation.
Presently, Babawande is a Principal Lecturer and Head of Department for Logistics and Operations at GSM London. In this role, he oversees a portfolio of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes and champion a number of strategic and operational initiatives, and committees within the institution. In addition, Babawande is a Director at Octagon Nest – a boutique consultancy specialising in education and business training, business development, and project management.
Babawande is currently undertaking a PhD programme where he is investigating the link between corporate governance, social responsibility practices, and firm performance. He possesses a number of academic and professional qualifications including a Postgraduate Certificate in Academic Practice (King’s College London), MSc Finance & Accounting (Distinction, University of Wales), Project Management PRINCE2 Practitioner, BSc Business Management & Information Technology (First Class Honours, University of Hull), along with membership of a number of professional bodies such as the Higher Education Academy and the Energy Institute.
