Professor Agnieszka Skala is a long-term researcher of the digital startup community in Poland, and other European transition economies. She is also an experienced mentor of several generations of startup founders. Her academic work at Warsaw University of Technology (Poland) concerns startups and education for technology entrepreneurship.
She also co-founded the Innovation Nest Entrepreneurship School (SPIN), a venture mentoring spot for startupers (since 2011). As a member of the Program Board at Startup Poland Foundation, she has co-created the annual "Polish Startups" research and study report - published by the Foundation since 2015.
Professor Agnieszka Skala graduated the Lean LaunchPad Educators Program at the Haas School of Business at UC Berkeley in 2012. In 2019 she published her monograph with Palgrave Macmillan: “Digital Startups in Transition Economies”.
