Thijs de Neeve started his career as a business consultant in marketing for media and communications servicing clients in national newspapers and magazines as well as international clients such as Ericsson and The Greenery International before joining Intercai, an ICT consulting firm with a focus on IT and telecommunications networks. In 2003 he switched to international trade and investment development working for the Australian Trade Commission (Austrade). Over the years Thijs has assisted hundreds of export companies from a diversity of industry sectors on both a strategic as well as an operational level. After a number of years of independent trade development work Thijs took a position as lecturer in marketing and international business at Fontys University of Applied Sciences in Tilburg (the Netherlands) where he was involved in lecturing, student coaching, course development in export management and being a member of the examination committee. Thijs currently works for Enterprise Estonia as the Trade Commissioner for Estonia in the Benelux countries. Thijs holds an MBA from Warwick Business School (UK) and is listed in the accredited register of Qualified Export Managers in the Netherlands. He lives on the countryside near Gouda with his wife and two dachshunds.
