ERIC MORIZUR

Chairman and Managing Director, Rigas Karte, Latvia

Rigas Karte is the investor and operator of the electronic ticketing of the Latvian capital’s public transportation systems. Since 2011 it has extended its activities to parking payments, access control, electronic money and citizens e-cards.

Eric Morizur began his career in 1990 in Paris as engineer at TDF the main telecommunications and TV broadcaster in France. In 1996 he moved south of France to take a B2B sales position in charge of Eastern European markets for the telecommunications and multimedia division of Ascom Monetel. A year later the company offered him to relocate to Kuala Lumpur then Hong Kong as its Asia-Pacific sales&marketing manager.

In 2000 Eric pursued his career in Mexico as Ascom Monetel country business manager. Back in the French headquarters in 2004 he became key account manager in the public transportation division of Ascom (now Conduent Business Solutions France) until 2009 when he moved to Riga as chairman and MD of Rigas Karte, the joint-venture established by Conduent Business Solutions France and Rigas Satiksme the public transport operator of Riga.

In 2013 Rigas Karte won a Ruban d’Honneur at the European Business Awards.

Eric Morizur graduated as telecommunications engineer from Telecom Bretagne and holds an Executive MBA from EM Lyon. Since 2011 he has also been a French foreign trade advisor to the Government.
