WINNERS ANNOUNCED AT
EUROPE’S TOP BUSINESS AWARDS
The crème de la crème of European business is toasting success after the winners of the European Business Awards 2008 were announced in Paris today.
The success of companies and people including Procter & Gamble, Isuzu Truck (UK) Limited, Intamac Systems Ltd, Econcern, Petrotechnics Limited and Steve Leach (Group CEO, Bigmouthmedia) was marked today before an audience of European business leaders, politicians and press at the annual gathering to celebrate Europe’s top businesses and business people.
Former Spanish Prime Minister José María Aznar presented The Business Leader of the Year Award to Olli-Pekka Kallasvuo, President and CEO of Nokia.

THE RUBAN D’HONNEUR TO 60 OUTSTANDING EUROPEAN COMPANIES
Europe ’s showcase of business talents and capabilities are unveiled today when the names of 60 individuals and organisations that will receive the accolade of Ruban d'Honneur in this year’s European Business Awards are announced.
Based on nine months research and hundreds of paper-based entries, the first-round judges short listed ten finalists in each of the six Award categories. The prestigious European Business Awards 2008 is now open for entry from any business whatever size and from any sector that operates in the 27 countries of the EU. Six categories allow a broad choice of opportunity for companies to showcase their success. The entry deadline is 25 October 2007 and the winners will be announced in Paris on 11 March 2008.

60 finalists of The European Business Awards have been selected and are ready to showcase the commercial strength and entrepreneurial spirit of Europe
60 outstanding companies from 13 European Union member countries have been announced as finalists in the inaugural European Business Awards (1). From hundreds of paper-based entries, the first-round judges short listed ten finalists in each of the six competitive categories (2). Winners will be announced at an ‘invitation only’ glittering event on 31 st January 2007 at the Conrad in Brussels.
Finalists will now prepare to make their presentations in person before a further panel of expert judges, including senior executives, strategic advisory panelists (3), academics and business specialists, throughout November and December 2006.
