Quest Media, the company behind the inaugural European Business Awards, is ready to welcome applications for any of the eight categories before the entry deadline of 31 July. Winners will be announced at a special event to be held in Brussels on 31 January 2007.
Entries for The European Business Awards are officially open to businesses from all the 25 countries of the European Union. Key20 Media, following a series of successes with the established UK-based National Business Awards - often referred to as the “Oscars of Business”- wanted to give to European businesses a stage to show their achievements in front of the whole continent. Until 31 July it will be possible to enrol in one or more of the categories of The European Business Awards:
- The Siemens Business Innovation of the Year Award
- The CMS Business of the Year Award
- The Customer Focus Award
- The Entrepreneur of the Year Award
- The Growth Strategy of the Year Award
- The European Trade Award
- The Business Leader of the Year Award
- The Lifetime Achievement Award
Following in the steps of the UK competition The European Business Awards categories are tailored to welcome companies of all sizes and from any sector. Utilising the underlying principles of success, innovation and business ethics will ensure that promising entrepreneurs can compete next to giant corporations with equal chances to lift the trophy.

In order to analyse a massive quantity of data coming from different traditions, languages and cultures, it is mandatory to count on a high profile panel of judges. The former Dutch Prime Minister Wim Kok is a founder member of the Strategic Advisory Panel - a group of high-profile individuals whose expertise and experience is invaluable to the robustness and rigour of the competition. Mr. Kok was selected for his political and financial experience and for his extensive knowledge of all the countries involved, having prepared a report on EU enlargement for the European Union.
The names of the winners will be revealed on the 31 January2007 during a glittering Awards Ceremony held in the Conrad in Brussels, the city chosen as the administrative, political and symbolic centre of Europe. The Awards ceremony will follow a morning conference featuring three of the world’s most established leaders. Attendance to the conference and Awards ceremony is by invitation only, and senior representatives from all finalists companies will be in attendance.
