Ulrich Steger

Professor Steger holds the Alcan Chair of Environmental Management and leads IMD’s Global Corporate Governance Research and the Forum for Corporate Sustainability Management (CSM).

 

He is the director of IMD’s Building High Performance Board (BHPB) program and several senior executive partnership programs (including CSM, DaimlerChrysler, Allianz).

 

Professor Steger has served as a member of the German Bundestag and as the Minister of Economics and Technology in the State of Hesse . Previous to his position at IMD he was a Member of the Managing Board at Volkswagen. He earned his PhD in Mathematical Growth Theory in 1975 at the Ruhr University, Bochum, Germany.
